Time for more painted figures, and no Fantasy figures today.
It´s been more than a year ago that I started work on my Portugese line, after gathering a group of supporters on the Guild who put up the starting money to get the first set produced.
For several months now these figures have been waiting go receive some colors, so I can put up nice pictures on the website. Now, I finally began painting them and here is the first figure.
More pictures will follow as I progress with the unit. I have one more figure to show you tomorrow, the rest will follow sometime later.

"In the tight spot" - Part II - Code Red Ambush Scenario
After getting stuck in a vicious ambush, the battle hangs in the balance. US Forces have taken casualties and are creeping ever closer towards exceeding their threshold for defeat, but have now taken up positions to launch their counterattack in the south.

"In the tight spot" - Part I - Code Red Ambush Scenario
Last saturday I had the opportunity to set up a scenario at our monthly gaming day. As usual, I used the opportunity to playtest some aspects of the game.
This time around, my intention was to test a potential scenario setup that had hence been tested just once. The scenario was set up with the help of the scenario generation procedure I devised for the rules.
More on this might be discussed in a separate dev diary as soon as my thoughts have matured and undergone more testing.
The US force of two infantry squads in Stryker ICVs plus attached MG and command team found themselves surrounded on their patrol route through Resistobynsk, a troublesome hotspot somewhere in Eastern Europe...

"I saw horrible things..." - Horror of the Swamp
I picked up some Fantasy figures again as they were sitting on my paiting shelf waiting to be finished. I´m trying to practice with these minis every now and then to get a better feeling of manipulating colors or to try new techniques or shortcuts to improve my painting.
With this Horror, I tried working with NMM gold on the bracelets and experimented with coloring the base in a way that gives it a swampy look - it´s all painted, no special effects.
All in all the figures was finished relativey quickly if you don´t count the time that passed as he was waiting but only estimate the working time.

"Waiting Game" - Taliban PKM Gunner
And I´m back with a more regular schedule on my blog. The next batch of stuff is ready for presentation, so I´ll be feeding you with some more pictures throughout the next few days.
Starting today with a new Taliban, utilising a resource that his western foes with all their timetables, budget constraints and pressure by internal politics are lacking: Patience.
Stay tuned for new stuff tomorrow!

New Russian PKM Gunners
As announced I´m working on some new sculpts. I´ve finally returned to my Modern Russian sets to add a few more support weapons. Among them are two PKM gunners for everyone who´d like to swap out some of their RPK figures for something with more firepower.
These will be packed into a new set with two Dragunov Marksmen - another weapon that is a potential attachment to your Russian Infantry Squads.
I´ll put up more pictures as soon as they´re done.

"Solid Hit!" - US Infantry
After putting up all those Soviet pictures I noticed that I never put up the final pictures of my painted US Army releases way back in September 2015.
I painted them in a little of a rush, trying to finish suitable figures for presentation at the model expo in Mainz. At the expo I didn´t take good pictures as the light inside the hall was horrid - someone forgot to remove the top cover on our half of the expo hall, which blocked all daylight. Left with fuzzy artificial light, I didn´t have the opportunity to take good photos.
Returning from that event exhausted and a little disapointed I put the box of minis into my storage and never got around to take good photos here as well.
Now I finally pulled them back out and took nice pictures, here we are:
You can still see that the paintjob was a little rushed when you take a closer look at the bases, but overall I´m quite happy with the final look - especially considering that MultiCam/OCP pattern is never easy.
